So glad you’re here! I’m Stephanie, the owner, designer, and lover of paper behind Stephanie Tara Stationery. I design colorful, hand-painted, heartwarming and playful paper goods. My passion is painting your love story to life in the form of your wedding stationery while creating a collection of lifestyle paper goods to carry that magic into your every day. I specialize in hand-painted artwork with a modern touch. Bringing each couple's vision to life with my paintings and setting the tone for their special event is an honor, and one that I take very seriously. Just like you, I have a memory box and all the handwritten cards I receive get put in there.

I’m a firm believer that the small details are what make moments into memories and that’s what I hope to inspire with my custom designs.

I’ve always loved art and design, from traveling to London for a fine art experience, to commercial print design in NYC, to designing original store displays for Anthropologie. I even remember painting tiny custom artwork for my doll houses as a kid! I’ve always had a preference for small details. After designing my own wedding invitations, I just went with it and slowly it grew into a business. I didn’t always know I wanted to have a wedding stationery / paper goods business, but after learning about my couples’ love stories, hearing about the vision for their big day and basically all the other details there are, I fell in love with the process.

You know me as an artist and stationery enthusiast, but at the heart of everything is my family. They are the reason I put my everything into my business. My husband is a funny, loyal, crazy Italian, who runs a restaurant/brewery, all while being the rock of our family. Our hands are just a little full, but we work hard to succeed as a team, with the help of our beloved therapist. Together we are raising our two boys to find passion and happiness in their lives. I want my kids to grow up in a world where we see past the limiting norms we are taught in school and instead see that there are endless possibilities when we are creative and driven. When I noticed my oldest son, Logan, was really interested in cooking, I knew I wanted to go with it because first of all, hello what is better than a husband who loves to cook? But most importantly, the joy on his face while he breads chicken cutlets or mixes the flour bowl, is the purest form of happiness.

As a mom, I like to watch what my kids naturally gravitate towards and then educate them on it to the best of my ability. I want them to find the *thing* that brings them joy, so even if it’s not their job, it is there for them and brings them comfort and a sense of peace, one that I hope every one of you reading this gets to experience. I feel beyond grateful that I get to set that example for them.

Let’s call it like it is, weddings are expensive and custom stationery is no exception. Investing in the artwork is where I can promise you will have no regrets. My goal is bringing life to your wedding stationery beyond just that one day. The artwork we create together is an investment. Something you will have in your home for years to come and if you’re sentimental like me, I know this personalized art will be cherished.

When you become my client, it’s such a joy to learn the details of your story and hand-pick moments in your relationship to illustrate for you. From the moment we connect to the day your invitations get sent out, there are countless hours of sketches, color palettes, hand lettering, and lots of painting! For me, it’s all about the details.

I am available for a variety of projects such as freelance design, licensing, textile/ surface design of all kinds, custom stationery, artwork and more.
